This is Paul Harris’ Muscle Bend—really fun effect. Excited to be doing this regularly.

Day 311—The Growing Card

This is Tomoyuki Shimomura’s Growing Card from True Astonishments. Very, very fun effect that is so visually startling. Music was supplied by my good buddy Lonesome Zak. Go support his music by purchasing the full album here:

Day 310—The Deflation Change

How many times can one create applications of the Snap Change? So, so many. I hope Ed Marlo is smiling down on me right now in Magician Heaven.

Anywho, this is an interesting idea for coin work. Specifically, concealing the changee coin. However, this particular application only works when the coin being changed is larger—hence naming it “The Deflation Change.” I guess you could do this with a penny and a dime though, if you are so inclined and can pinch it. The part that was hardest was the “pitch” move so that everything appears on the up and up. Overall, this is a pretty great success. Especially considering I was going to film something else and cut myself in the process. Fun times!

Day 309—Purple Box O’ Mystery

Yes, yes—I used a drawer box. Get over it. The day called for it.

Day 308—Cafés Alex

This is an interesting card to box idea integrating ideas from a few magicians. The main feature here is the Gin Pick, which I recently learned from Jon Armstrong’s Penguin Live lecture. He taught a lot of great material, but this item was particularly interesting to me and can be applied to many routines.

Day 307—Rubbér Thruglove

As the name implies, this is Dan Hauss and Blake Vogt’s Rubbér Thruhand, performed wearing a glove. Cheers.

This is another pen effect by Jay Sankey. Can’t remember the name on this particular one.
