Day 09—Orange Julius

A variation on Paul Harris’ effect, Cardician’s Blendo. Basically, this just changes the color change at the end. I think Marc DeSouza’s Shapeshifter change makes a lot more sense, considering you are “combining” two cards.

Day 08—Wild Card, Bitches!

An odd mash-up of principles from Tony Chang’s DVR and Oz Pearlman’s Jokers Wild. In all honesty I should have had them film it from the front. But it’s all good. Trying to use blank cards more in performance for a logical flow in the effects.

Day 07—Right Brain, Left Pocket

A performance of my effect, “Right Brain, Left Pocket”. Very fun effect that has a mental flair to it. Let me know what y’all think.

Day 06—Cros Twist

I perform Daniel Cros’ effect, The Cros Twist from the The Art of Astonishment: Volume 1. However, I think there’s something to letting an audience member select which card to be twisted, as it were.

Day 05—Cardlexic

This is an effect I’ve been playing with for a little while. I’m sure there’s something out there that uses similar principles, but I haven’t come across it. This also utilizes Marc DeSouza’s Shapeshifter as a color change to the correct card.

Day 04—Penciltration

My take on the classic pen thru dollar. Using, well, a pencil.

Day 03—Professor X

Credit to Danny Garcia + Brian Brushwood for featuring this on Scam School. Really fun effect to perform that hits hard.
